Haircuts and Santa!

So, once again Isaiah needed a haircut. I love when Keith cuts his hair because Isaiah doesn't seemed fazed by the process at all. I think he is more excited about sitting in front of a mirror than anything else. This makes four haircuts in ten months. He definitely got his daddy's thick hair! Well, his dad's hair a long time ago. Sorry Keith. He never gets fussy when all of this is going on, but at some point he always looks at me with this face that says....mommy, please tell daddy to finish. See pics, you'll know which one.

We also had a Santa day, on Thursday, before Christmas. We met Poppaw at the mall. Isaiah rode the Christmas train with my dad, and then he got to sit in Santa's lap. There was no crying! He kept looking at him, and finally pulled on his beard. It was so much fun to watch him. He laughed and laughed. While I don't have the professional pic to post, I hope you enjoy the ones Keith took. It was a fun day....but long! Isaiah was pooped. The pics of him asleep, holding his rings, were just seconds after getting into the car. The poor guy only slept a few minutes until we met my mom at Panera. He could be in a coma and hear her voice, and wake up immediately. He sure loves his Grammy, but then again, I've never met anyone who doesn't!

Christmas Ready!!

Ok, I know I announced this blog very, very long ago. I had good intentions of catching the world up on our lives for the past ten years, since most people start these things when they get married....oh well. Anyway, we are excited for many reasons this holiday season. First, the thought of our Lords coming, on such a Holy night, so many years ago. He only came with one intention...to save us! I think we easily forget to truly embrace this in our world today. Second, as many of you know, I will be an aunt for the first time any day! Third, we are blessed to spend time with family. My dad is doing well, and we are all healthy. That is a blessing all to itself! God continually shows us His power. Fourth, our little bear, Isaiah, will be celebrating his first Christmas. I know it will be more fun for us, but still excited. Many of you know that my mom is the most fair person I know. I jokingly call her the fair police. Anyway, I thought that she and my dad were only going to get him a few things, well, when talking with her the other day I realized that her over fairness has come out again. Let me explain. I have had phone calls right before Christmas, on several occasions, asking me what she could get someone for a couple of dollars so every ones gifts would come out at the same cost....yes...you read that right. So, I ask her what she got for Isaiah. She named toy after toy after toy. I finally said,"mom, that seems like a lot". Her response...wait for it..."well, he gets just as much as everyone else". As cute as she sounded, I could not convince her that he is too small to know the difference. She said,"he is a part of the family, so we have to be fair"!!! Merry Christmas!
